Vulnerable Facade

- Belle Koh (Singapore)

I have shed the fabric of this soul

the way a woman peels her shirt off

hangs it up, wears it inside out

and enters the world again.

You see me clothed in it now,

this vulnerable facade.

Let it be the one I passed through:

these paid tags crossed off

moulting like a second

sprouting wing.
