Frequently Asked Questions
FOR ANY FURTHER INQUIRIES, PLEASE EMAIL: ellawen2017@gmail.com
Any works of poetry are accepted! There is no real requirement other than to keep in mind of the readers. These poems are meant to be uplifting, authentic, and inspirational. Some examples of themes are and not limited to: family, relationships, nature, observations of the world, youth perspectives, etc. (as you can see, there’s a HUGE range of what can be submitted!)
Try to steer away from depressing/upsetting themes (ex. self criticism) as we’re trying to create an environment that uplifts patients :)
What am I allowed to submit?
This magazine will be hand-delivered to the clients of the Ceres Community Project, a welfare program that provides freshly-cooked meals made by teen and adult chefs (founded in Sonoma County, California). Readers will include those battling illnesses, dealing with difficult living conditions, and people in need of community care. This poetry magazine is intended to bring some joy, some hope, and some compassion for those who most need support.
Who are the readers?
There is a Google Form available on the “Submit” page of this website, where submissions can be entered! More directions are included on the form.
How do I submit?
Do I need to have any requirements to submit?
Absolutely not! There are no requirements or any “professional background” necessary for submitting. This magazine is simply looking for people, especially young people, who are passionate in getting their voices out to help heal those in need. All art will be appreciated greatly.
